Podcast episode number 13 is now live on iTunes. In this podcast episode I speak with Justin Cooke and Joe Magnotti from AdsenseFlippers.com. I’ve known Justin and Joe for about a year now and they have a very interesting business model around building niche websites with the help of their team of outsourcers and then reselling those websites on both Flippa and more recently on their blog.
There is a lot of great info on this podcast and Justin and Joe represent the first pair of business partners I’ve interviewed at the same time. I’m sure you’ll pick up some great tips when you listen to this podcast.
Items Discussed In This Episode:

Formula they use to help decide which niche to go into:

Question for the AdsenseFlippers:
What are you doing differently to your sites, post-penguin?
[…] said when I hit $4000 a month, I could hire a full time VA, maybe I will, but after listening to Chris Guthrie’s Adsense Flippers interview yesterday, more piecework outsourcing may be the best to continue with to try out a few workers and […]
These are really awesome. I signed up for the AdeseneFlippers ebook. I am sure there are so many things I have always over looked when looking at creating sites in the past. I hope I can learn a thing or two from you guys. It looks like you are doing some amazing things. Do you guys reveal any kind of backlinks tips you use to get these to rank so quickly?
Thanks for having us on, Chris!
@TipJar
We’re not doing too much differently. We’ve broken them up into smaller chunks on each hosting account and we’ve (recently) seriously cut back on our likbuilding…see my next answer below.
@Gary
We mention our backlink tactics in the guide and have a few posts about backlinks on our site. More recently, we’ve cut out backlinking completely…relying only on the strength of our keyword research and on-site SEO. We’ve been reviewing the results over the last few months and “think” we should be doing a bit more…
We’ve been buying up a bunch of exact match domains that had both the .net and .org available as we want to do a backlinking test. With one batch, we’ll throw some high-quality links at them and the other will have no linkbuilding at all. We want to test ROI on our efforts to see whether it’s worth it or not…more to come on that as we test through it!
Just taken a look at a few of the sites supposedly recently sold, and a lot of them are no longer in operation or parked. Why would the buyer do this is they had just paid sever thousand dollars for the site? :s

“John Doe” if you have something to say – post under your real name. I’m sure Justin / Joe would be happy to respond to whatever issues you may have with them or the websites they’ve sold.
This was an excellent podcast episode. Thank you for including the link to the previously “flipped” adsense sites. One of the biggest struggles I had (and still have) is really knowing the layout and what was working. The previously flipped sites is extremely helpful in helping clarify that portion of niche sites. Also, I didn’t notice any parked domains on the ones I opened, but that is curious as to what Fred said above – I think a lot of people just don’t like to put in any work or maybe they didn’t pay attention to the domain renewal notices? I’ve never flipped a site but I have to imagine you transfer domains and everything to your own account and you should receive email notifications from the registrar?! Anyways – thanks a million for the podcast and the information on this page. Extremely helpful.
There are several steps with the transition for actually getting the website in your possession but yah – I always use Escrow.com for payment and wait until the domain name and the website are pushed to my account before pushing funds over to the seller.
thanks
