My wife just graduated with her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and to help celebrate we are heading to Hawaii for a week long vacation. In fact, by the time this post has been published we’ll probably be mid flight. I’ll be bringing along a laptop to do a few things while I’m gone but I’ve already prepared blog posts to publish while I’m gone during my regular posting schedule of Monday, Wednesday and Friday here on this blog. I’ll be sharing a couple very fun and interesting posts that you won’t want to miss out on like how I earned over $2,000 from one blog post – so be sure to stick around.
That’s the best part about earning a living on the internet. I’ve already finished my “work” for the week ahead on this blog and my other websites and when I get back I’ll have probably made a couple thousand dollars while I was off surfing, snorkeling, hiking and relaxing on the island of Oahu.
This is the first time for both of us going to Hawaii – is there anything we absolutely must do while we’re in Oahu? I’ll be checking the comments later tonight so don’t be bashful – do share.
Side note: We have an alarm and someone’s going to be staying in our house while we’re gone so cancel your plans to come and rob me if you know where I live hah hah. Choose from this list of people instead 😀
Robbing your house wouldn’t be a problem for me if I wanted to whether someone is staying there or not. An alarm would be but a minor inconvenience that I would knock out in seconds.
As for your $2,000 for one post: I have done more than double that for one of my posts. But then, since I am Jack Bauer you probably already know that.
lol, I should hate you but I love you hah hah. Your humor is superb while at the same time insulting me. As a side note: If you have done that why don’t you share how you did?
Guest post style? Or meet up with me sometime in Seattle? I know you think I’m an idiot but you might learn some things from me and I could learn from you.
I don’t think you are an idiot. I’m just having fun with you. Seeing what you have to say and so forth.
Sorry, one more thing.
About the more than $2,000 post. If you have a blog with some authority (which Jack Bauer does of course) and you write a post about a current news event (which Jack Bauer did) and there is a product associated with the event, then you can make money from it if you are lucky to have the post end up on the first page of Google.
Then pound that post with some properly anchored links to keep it there or move it up further and you have a money maker. People don’t realize that EVERY page on a blog has the ability to get to the top of Google and not just the home page.
There you go….that’s all the free content for today. Now I have to get back to linkbuilding.
lol that’s basically how I made the $2,000 in one day lol (more or less). You’ll see how early next week and you’re right that’s a great strategy.
Side note: why don’t you outsource link building if you are making 4 times as much as me? You should have plenty of capital to do it.
lol, well I’m having fun bantering with you as well 😀 I still think we should meet up sometime for coffee or whatever. I’ve been making a habit out of trying to meet up with other local internet entrepreneurs.
I long to be like you, going on holiday while hot-cash of money is pouring into your bank… I did like to know the secret to $2000 for one post… it looks kind the exciting and interesting to find out… enjoy your happy holiday…

I’m coming over to steal your xbox.
I have two so be sure you leave me at least one ok?
Chris, enjoy Hawaii! I’m moving to San Diego in less than 3 weeks myself, but Hawaii will be next.
I’d rather read your interesting posts than rob your house. So c’mon, spill the g’stuff…

lol anyone else have any suggestions as to what I can do while I’m in Hawaii or do people just want to keep talking about how they’ll rob my house?
I was just there about a month ago. I love the island. Go check out the rain forest. Jump off of some waterfalls. Surf it up. Have some fun.
Today we are going to Polynesian cultural center to do Luao (spelling?)
thanks again for all the tips. Has anyone done the shark tank dive thing? Is it worth $100 each?
Congrats man! Hawaii is a blast (so I’ve heard, never been there myself). Congrats to your wife as well!
This summer I plan on following in your footsteps and I’m gonna start building some Adsense/Amazon Microniche sites, should be awesome.
Chris,
Take a kayak trip, visit the north shore and have a plate, see Pearl Harbor, rent a surf board, go to the top floor bar and enjoy the sunset, listen as others play on the beach.
I look forward to learning from you and Jack in the coming months.
Thanks
Hope you have a good time on your much needed vacation.

Where’d you end up going in Oahu. I live over here and recommend anyone go to Lanakai beach and up to the North shore. Waikiki’s a blast too at night and so are first Friday’s in downtown soho area of Honolulu. Hope you had a good time!
