Note: This review is not paid for. Just my honest opinion of the intext advertising solution provided by Vibrant Media.
This Part 2 in my case study on in text advertising. Be sure to read my review of InfoLinks in Part 1.
Like InfoLinks, Vibrant Media is also a provider of in text advertising and the subject of this review. I ran VibrantMedia text link ads on my test technology related website for one month. This is the same website that I ran InfoLinks on so that I could show an apples to apples data comparison between the two in text advertising solutions.
Income Results for 1 Month:
In 31 days I was able to earn $134.34 which translates to about $4.33 per day. This is nearly quadruple what I earned running ads on the exact same blog with InfoLinks.
Vibrant Media does not offer data for impressions so if you really wanted to calculate an eCPM the best way to do that would be to simply use your data from Google Analytics or another tracking software. I compared the traffic from the previous months to what I had in March and the difference was negligible which further solidifies Vibrant Media’s dominance over InfoLinks in terms of payout.
Vibrant Media Ad Targeting is Great:
Contrary to InfoLinks, Vibrant Media’s ad targeting is much better. This ad was displayed after hovering over the word Dell. I never found an ad without a picture or with a worthless description. I did find a few odd ads for a Verizon small business pack under words that I didn’t think were related, but that was about the only result I would consider poor.
Wrap Up:
Vibrant Media is the clear winner so far in my case study on in text advertising. I earned nearly 4 times as much running their ads over what I did from InfoLinks. Their ad targeting is better as well as the actual ads that they display. I’m sure the overall quality of their network is due to their size in the marketplace (I believe they’re the largest… someone correct me if I’m wrong).
I highly suggest that if you’re looking at using in text advertising on your blog or website that you give Vibrant Media a look. I suggest you test all networks to see what works best for you, but the fact that they performed nearly 4 times better than Info Links makes me think their dominance would continue across all niches.

I’ve got data from Kontera to share later this month and I have one other network I’ve been testing out that I will include in this case study as well. If you like seeing more real life case studies from someone earning a living online than you should subscribe to my blog.
What do you think of this case study so far? Is this stuff valuable or would you prefer to read some list on ‘7 Steps to get more followers on Twitter’ where I could regurgitate info found from around the web?
I personally do not use Vibrant Media I have used Kontera in the pass and they SUCK!! they only pay you 1 cent per click if your lucky.
I have turn to Ebay Partner Network, theres a wordpress plugin called WPZix which enables your EPN just like Kontera and Virant Media.
Which currently there paying me 12-14 CENTS per click and the return is much higher because they too use pictures in there ads.
hope this helps, if you need any help let me know.
Edgar
Your earning look good. Maybe it works great with high traffic site =)

How many traffic are you getting frm that technology site to earn that much?

How long did you work for that kind of traffic? How many times a day are posting on that blog?

Nice page views.

So how did your site get accepted with its 100K page views, when the prerequisites for Vibrant are 500K pageviews/month?
I own numerous websites and have some that earn over 500k. It was a simple matter of saying, “Hey I have this website that has really targeted traffic and I’d like to run your ads on this site too”
He pretty much responded by saying ok sounds good.
The bottom line is that you should never take no for an answer. The only other time I’ve been denied and couldn’t get into a program that had a page view requirement was for Tribal Fusion and that was a couple years ago.
Thank you for carrying out this experiment for me.
It will save me do the comparison between the two systems.
I am impressed that a reasonably large amounts of cash company earned by using Vibrant Media. I will have to consider it further.
Kind regards,
John

18 months or so on that blog. I have others that I’ve worked longer on.
I have try the vibrant-media ad tags on smartphone, but only few ads show, hot to get more?,thanks
Just tried signing up for Vibrant. Hope I get accepted. Kontera ads have got better but Vibrant are far more on point.

I suggest if you get denied just try and send a follow up to them. If your traffic is quality and even below 500k page views you may be ok.
I called, then followed up with an email. Finding the email address for the person took hours. One or two days later I received an email reply that he had received my phone message and that they wanted to be in business with me. Their making the code for me now.
I’m glad I read your posts. Keep up the good work.
I can’t wait to get rid of Kontera and switch to Vibrant. I have wanted to use their ads for more than a year now.

I really like your blog post about vibrant media. I was looking for a replacement for kontera who only pays about 1 cent per click and we give them about 65000+ impressions per month.
Our site got accepted by vibrant media, hopefully they are as good for us as they are for you!
Hopefully it will work out as well for you as it has for me 😀
Thank you so much for your info regarding VibrantMedia. I am just about to start implementing ads on my website and I was a little hesitant about which of the two companies’ services to use, although intuition kept telling me that VibrantMedia would be the way to go due to their unique and sleak features. Thank you so very much for confirming my suspicions and for helping me make up my mind.
You’re very welcome 😉
Thank you for Info now i am going to Signup .. 🙂
Very impressive report. I must try vibrant media. How much traffic belongs to USA,UK, and Canada of your site. I mean site that earned $134 with 393 clicks.
I Signed Up With VibrantMedia After A Web Search Earlier This Month.
The Other Networks I’ve Tried Only Pay Pennies For The Clicks Sent.
I’ve Used Kontera For A Few Years And The Results Have Been Less Than Pitiful.
Looking To See If VibrantMedia Works For Me On My Article Directory, Blogs And Digital Art Site All Which Are Heavy In Article Content
I just signed up this afternoon and put the code snippet on my website. I only have one tag implemented at this point and wonder how many tags I should be using?
Of course, I’m still doing the initial research.
I believe you can use only one per web page. But if you have like a forums section that is on a different database than your blog then you could use two that way.
Hey..Thanks. I will try using Vibrant and will report back..
You earning is big. So they actually pay you with clicks and traffic?
Interesting.. I was thinking of trying out infolinks for a month cause I don’t seem to get much with vibrant links, but then again, i was on a godaddy server and it didn’t seem to show most of my ads.. Good research though. thanks.
I have around 115k pageviews monthly. I was accepted. I think they put that 200k requirement so that people with 8k pageviews per month don’t open accounts.
I’d be willing to bet Vibrant uses things like Alexa ranking, site age, and other metrics to determine approval.
Thank you for sharing this information. I have already received an invitation from vibrant media to join their system. I am planning to do work with them.
Vibrant Media is one of the WORST intext ad networks! I am a Vibrant Media publisher and I know what I’m talking about. They have this stupid retarded “SENSITIVITY FILTER” which makes their ads show up only on 1 to 10% of your site’s pages. Even though they have a relative higher CPC comparing to other intext ad networks, their CPC is usless when it shows up to only 1% or 10% or your pages.
I don’t even want to hear about Infolinks and Kontera! Tried both, they both have CPCs from 0.03 to 0.05. They both suck as much as Vibrant.
These 3 bastards (Infolinks, Kontera, Vibrant) have monopoly on the intext market and they all SUCK BIG TIME!
WE NEED ANOTHER INTEXT ALTERNATIVE!
They make me good money. You don’t have to hide your name to state your comments by the way…
Hey..Thanks. I will try using Vibrant and will report back..
Awesome study…. Very helpful, really appreciate it. I was tasting them on my site and trying to figure out which one to use, but now I know the clear choice. Again really appreciate it.
Are they still paying? paying i waited more than 90 days they do not reply nor issue payments! Beware!
Haven’t worked with these guys in a while
