The other day I revealed my plan of self employment by April 2011. I mentioned that I love my job now, but I also know that I am currently making the company I work for considerably more money than I’m earning. No matter how hard I work for someone else, there is almost always a cap to how much I can earn. However, when you’re self employed your potential for earning a lot of money can be much much higher.
Have you ever thought about how much money you earn for the company you work for and how much you could make if you focused on working completely for yourself?
The one thing I tell anyone thinking of taking the self employment plunge is this. Make sure you are able to get applicable medical insurance before you jump ship, while for most younger people this may not occur to them once something happens you will be painfully aware, and trust me it is quite unsavory.
Outside that if you have a plan, and take action and hedge your bets as any private business owner tries you will just have to remember to sleep some while you work for yourself.
I look forward to seeing you document your journey to self employment and freedom.
Thanks for the advice Ben!
