Anyone else having this issue? Let me know so I can fix… iTunes is usually just delayed a bit.
Chris,
Thanks for sharing man. Very interesting. Sounds like you have had a great year. I have to confess I’ve had a nice year as well (not nearly as nice as yours – but great progress). I owe part of the success to your site, you do offer some very good advice here. All the best in 2012. Cheers
Dan
Thanks Dan – keep me posted on your progress and let me know how I can help you out ๐ best of luck in 2012!
Chris,
3 years for me now being on my own in IM. Big news is that I am leaving Seattle. Wife and I have a house closing in Phoenix in early February and I am leaving the rain for the heat and sunshine.
Just as good a house in a good part of town = 1/2 the price I paid in Bellevue six years ago. Of course we will take a $100,000+ hit on that house but it’s worth it to get out of the rain.
Very scary as all our income is me and my websites. Hope she can find a job but most people could never make this move to where we want to go rather than following a job from place to place.
Now I have to figure out how to move the business and all that. No more B & O tax from Washington but higher state taxes in Arizona.
The next 6 months are going to be tough trying to keep websites going along with moving everything and selling house. Back and forth from Phoenix to Seattle at least 3 or 4 times.
All of wife’s relatives are in Seattle so I will truly never leave. Hope to buy a condo in Bellevue someday so we can come up for the summers.
Maybe someday we will meet after all.
Hah, your the biggest mystery commenter on the blog we should meet up before you leave lol. Sounds like an exciting time (unfortunate to hear about the housing hit – doh!).
But yah B & O taxes suck for WA. Gotta pay it all on revenue and not being able to take out expenses first sucks a ton…
Good advice chris, focusing on one project at a time and not jumping on new projects every time you think you have a good idea made the biggest impact on my businesses in the last couple month for me. i think i might even be able to hit the 6 figure mark by end of the year if I keep up with this:)
I am back to work and will listen to this podcast on the ride.
2011 was a blessing year with your NPC help. I’m growing strong and try to work less and grow my business with outsourcing.
Wish you all the best in 2012 and look forward to your new products.
Thanks glad you’re enjoying the fruits of your labor ๐
Chris:
Good to hear that you have reset some business goals. I can fully understand why your personal response to emails cuts into your ability to make money. As one of your Niche Profit Course V2 owners, I’ve taken up some of your time with stuff I couldn’t figure out how to work, or things I didn’t understand. As a relative newbie to internet marketing, my frustration has been not knowing where to go to get the information I need. I don’t look for a hand out, but a direction. Once I have the direction, I can learn what I need to learn, and dig as deep as I need to gain comprehension.
While I appreciate your replies, I know from having my own brick-and-mortar business how much personalized customer service cuts into available time and the bottom line. I think outsourcing is a sound idea, as is your focus on buying & selling websites. Makes sense to me.
From what I’ve learned from you so far, My focus in 2012 is to work the plan outlined in N2 with authority and mini sites. N2 was a solid piece of planning and the stuff you added here today makes for a very solid business plan.
Again, I very much appreciate the time you invest in your products. And the main reason I;m reading your blog and buying your products is that you market them as a solution to problems you encountered along the way, not get rich quick pie in the sky BS. Advice based on experience es invaluable. It’s what I look for so I don’t have to re-invent the wheel.
“the main reason I;m reading your blog and buying your products is that you market them as a solution to problems you encountered along the way, not get rich quick pie in the sky BS”
Yep that’s exactly what I do with my products (info or software). The personal responses to more difficult questions etc I don’t mind, it’s the basic emails like “how do I log into my account” or “how do I download this” that I need to outsource because they don’t necessarily need my touch ๐ but yah I’m really excited about 2012 as well ๐
Always a great way to keep up on information.
Looking forward to listening again
I finally finished your podcast yesterday. It was a very good one and thanks for sharing your lessons for 2011. I totally got many of those.
Sometimes we are just busy for no reasons. It would be nice to say NO to some tasks and let go with outsourcing such as your plugin support.
Also it’s nice to set goals, but trying to reach it and visit it frequently. Many times, we just set goals in the beginning of year such as losing weight, but we lose track and don’t even hit half of it.
I love your new year goal and working on my goal set and planning this week.
Thanks Kent – yah I’m pretty excited about 2012 and hopefully cutting down some of the work that doesn’t need my input ๐
I’ll look forward to read about the three pillars of your business. I agree that in order to succeed its important to reflect on where we failed. I just read your post on goals for 2012, I’m impressed. I like the way you inspire and motivate your readers.
Hey Chris, just caught up with the podcast. Really enjoyed it. Very honest. I am also really enjoying the niche profit course v2.0. Have you thought of adding an outro to the podcast? It feels sort of empty at the end. Maybe get the voiceover person from the start to just say goodbye, mention website again or twitter. Maybe just some music? What do you listen to musicwise? Thanks Dave
Hah, yah perhaps I should do something like that for sure lol.
Hey Chris,
This is the first time that I’ve heard your podcast or been to your site and I must say that it’s very unique and inspiring. I never really set goals for my business, I just focused on little projects when they crossed my mind. The thing is I know what I need to do to grow my business, but for some reason I’m always side tracked.
I don’t have a job, so I do have time to focus on projects that are beneficial to my business. I’m currently only working on one site that generates about 100-150 page views a day, according to Google Analytics. From listening to your blog has really encouraged me to find the strength and desire I once had when I started my website.
I have created goals for the year 2012 and taking my business seriously by doing what needs to be done. I look forward to the new year.
Matthew
Hey Matthew, thanks for stopping by and commenting. I’m a huge believer in setting goals and sticking to them. Especially now in 2012 I’m measuring out my progress monthly putting up my net revenue, expenses, profit and then how much I spent buying websites and then how much I donated.
I am trying to stick very hard onto the figures like that.
Hi Chris,
I believe that 2011 will still reflect my deeds this year of 2012… I can used several things I learned last year to made my 2012 business interactions more worthy and confident enough to accomplish every set.up goal.
Thanks for sharing the podcast review with us, I love to listen it then… I can say that I already accomplish my goal last year and this 2012 is a new path for new success..

Hello Chris,
Your podcast made good listening. I’m still trying to figure-out which way I should go with building websites, so many people say WP is the way to go, then others say, good old HTML is the way or better still, PHP, so most newbies are confused when it comes to what to use when building a website. I’m not new to network marketing, I’ve been online with a number of sites since 95 (I’m no spring chicken, my youngest daughter is 35) but after working my way to two heart attacks, all are new as I lost all my other sites during my illness. I now have only five sites and I plan to stick with those five but…I still get to thinking “perhaps I’m not doing it right, perhaps I should be building the site with WP, or PHP, or HTML, or whatever.
At present I have the five sites, three are WP based movie sites, one is a WP based membership site (I’m having a problem deciding which theme to use) and one is a software site HTML/CSS based. Tell me Chris, is WP the way to go or should I go with HTML/PHP/CSS and flash when building sites?
Thanking you in advance for your advice.

It’s all about WordPress. No sense in re-inventing the wheel when all of the good stuff can be had with WordPress.
Thanks Chris, I’ll stick with WP ๐
I can’t say that I really fulfill my goal last year, that’s why I’m doing my best to cope those things this year of 2012, I consider it as a new path for success and a new chance for attaining all the greatness… 2011 developed my skills for making things possible…
