In this solo episode I sit down to discuss my Amazon ecommerce business and shed some light on what we’re doing to scale the business to $100k+ per month. I also share on the podcast for the first time information about Salesbacker.com which we created to help Amazon sellers get more reviews for their products. I had previously discussed Salesbacker on my blog but haven’t done a podcast episode in some time.
Finally, I launched a new podcast dedicated to Amazon sellers. We’re specifically focused on private label sellers and brand owners so if you currently sell products on Amazon or would like to get started make sure you listen to those episodes by going to Sellercast.com. You can also subscribe to the podcast here (which I would really appreciate)
Episode 2: Chris raised over $100k on Kickstarter to launch his product. Find out how he did it. Episode 3: Want to learn how to sell an Amazon ecommerce business? Corey built and sold not one but two Amazon businesses for $365k in cash!. Episode 4: Brad applied some unique marketing strategies to his niche product (you can hear about the product he launched in this episode)
I’ve covered selling on Amazon in the past (here and elsewhere), but I haven’t shared on my blog what I’ve been working on for a large part of 2015 – Salesbacker. Salesbacker is designed to help Amazon sellers get more product reviews (and seller feedback).
I can’t believe it’s been a full half a year that I’ve been selling on Amazon because I feel like I’ve spent hardly any time on this business and yet it continues to do well. December was a holiday month so the only question is was I able to beat my last month sales?
December closed out the 2014 year and with it my first five full months selling on Amazon. The crazy thing is that this Amazon business is the fastest thing I’ve ever made money with online (besides software – but that relies on the tens of thousands of email subscribers I’ve built up over the years). I have several friends and family members that are in varying stages of building their Amazon businesses as well because it’s a business you can build without needing an existing platform because you’re able to leverage Amazon’s platform.
We also run a mastermind group where my friend and I teach others how to build Amazon businesses (Brian from Podcast 17). Waiting list here (Opens April 22nd).
2014 was another record year for the businesses I’m involved in which I’ll get to later in this post, but by far the most exciting part of the year came early on Jan 5th, 2014 when my wife gave birth to our twin daughters Hope and Everly. I’d like to start this year end review with personal wins and then go into the business side.
