In this solo episode I sit down to discuss my Amazon ecommerce business and shed some light on what we’re doing to scale the business to $100k+ per month. I also share on the podcast for the first time information about Salesbacker.com which we created to help Amazon sellers get more reviews for their products. I had previously discussed Salesbacker on my blog but haven’t done a podcast episode in some time.
Finally, I launched a new podcast dedicated to Amazon sellers. We’re specifically focused on private label sellers and brand owners so if you currently sell products on Amazon or would like to get started make sure you listen to those episodes by going to Sellercast.com. You can also subscribe to the podcast here (which I would really appreciate)

Chris since you changed your name of your website, I didn’t see this new podcast 25 on entrepreneur boost on my playlist on my phone?
I also can’t find upfuel.
Maybe it will take a bit to load?
Hey Kevin, I published this episode recently so it should appear in iTunes soon.
My plan is to relaunch my podcast for UpFuel as an entirely new show and do it weekly moving forward. Frankly I should have been consistent with my podcast from the beginning but I didn’t do that. Because I’ve had to brand change it felt like starting fresh would make the most sense.
Great episode, Chris! The idea of hiring a VA is definitely a right decision. Are you planning to create niche sites around your products or ecommerce sites of your own? I think the 2nd one would be wise to do, since Google doesn’t like niche sites much and have higher risk of getting penalized.
Either way, other podcasts are pleasing to ear as well 🙂 and don’t forget to check out my application!
Hey Anisul, my main priorities are focusing on the stuff I outlined in the episode like my Amazon ecommerce business and Amazon software projects. I am still building websites though 🙂
Silly question, as I think I know the answer already… does amazon warehouse and ship your products, or do you? It’s a huge time consumer, so I’m guessing you don’t. Thanks.
Amazon handles it all via their FBA (fulfillment by Amazon) platform
Hi Chris, really enjoyed the podcast and I’ve taken you up on your offer to get in touch re: some upcoming opportunities. Hope to hear from you soon 🙂
Thanks Jarratt, I’ll be posting something official and directing everyone there but I’ll look for your email.
Wow! Amazing podcast Chris. I already did your NicheProfitCourse and loved it but I didnt know you had a podcast. Such a finding! Ill listen to all of them, great work!!
Hey Chris,
I’ve been a longtime follower of your content since your notebook review days. I always enjoy your down to earth presentation style and openness with your e-businessess.
I watched the video on the home page but can you suggest a resource for giving me more in depth info about selling physical products on Azon? Specifically about PLR, garnering reviews, sourcing suppliers, choosing products to sell, determing selling price, marketing etc..
Thanks.. and looking forward to more content from you!
Check out AmaSuite.com – that’s our software toolset that helps with finding products and everything else 🙂
Hi Chris,
In podcast 25 you mention listing the steps from creating to launching an amazon product and the fact that one should get help in order to launch products faster… could you please list those steps for me? Basically could you please list the steps you take from picking a product to launching a product on Amazon in order to ensure success.
Thanks,
Ola

Will take a listen later. I’ve been kind of interested in selling on Amazon with a private label, but still trying to learn more. I don’t have the funds at the moment, so I’m just really taking a step back and watching and learning.
I did take someones online course once about it, but ended up asking for a refund because it really wasn’t as informative as I had hoped for. It seemed better suited for someone already taking part of private labeling on Amazon, and stepping it up. Not much of the point of view of a complete newbie as was originally advertised.

Hey Chris,
I am pretty new to this online business and and probably bit older than most of your listeners. But I love learning new things and I am looking to build a small online business that I can grow whilst I travel. I have started researching products and contacting suppliers in China. So far so good. Not sure my product is the best idea but it fits with another business idea I am working on.
I have a couple of questions though?
1. Is your amazon course still open?
2. Do you know if I can have an Amazon seller account as an Australian resident. It appears that I need a US bank account. I’m stuck at this point.
3. Can you recommended a contact to hire a VA in the Phillipines?
Keep up the great work. One of the best things to happen online is Podcasts. They allow anyone to start an online channel and listeners to listen to things they want to actually hear when they want.
cheers
Rod
Hey Rod,
1. Not currently but we may open again here in 2016 though. AzonMasters.com is the URL to go to.
2. Yes. I know plenty of people in Australia selling on Amazon US but I don’t know all the details about it.
3. VirtualStaffFinder.com
Thanks for the commend Rod 🙂
amazon masters is closed
Yes currently closed but may open again
Hi Chris, awesome information. Always look forward to read your posts.
Thanks 🙂
Hi Chris,
I see you are more active on Amazon FBA stuff.
Do you still work on Amazon affiliate program? Do you have any updates on those Amazon affiliate sites you have? Are they just sitting there still passively making income for you after all these years?
Yah I’m still making money with Amazon’s affiliate program but not as much. When I look back over the years the amount of money I make in something always does somewhat relate to the amount of time I’m spending on it so as I spend less and less time the earnings drop more.
Any advice for how I can get back into being an Amazon Associate? I had 30+ websites promoting Amazon product some years ago and then Amazon locked all Colorado-based associate accounts because of the tax issue. Last year, the tax was REMOVED but Amazon still has not enabled Colorado residents to get commission on product sales, as far as I know. So far, only option I know of is to start a business in another state but that’s just opening up a whole lotta accounting headache. Is there anything else?
Hey Chris,
I had a question about Amazon advertising. I set my budget to $50 and my bid for $3. I have heard that Amazon doesn’t necessarily charge you the full bid amount. Can you confirm or deny this? Also what would be a good bid price? Thanks.
-Noah
Correct. They don’t charge the full bid. I’d suggest not putting it that high though.
Hi Chris,
I found your blog looking at a webpage about tips as an Amazon Affiliate back in 2011, as I am currently interested in getting started in Affiliate Marketing. I noticed you seemed to have shifted your focus to selling items now. I wanted to ask if you have quit using Amazon Affiliate, in favor of higher profit margins selling by yourself?
I just started selling because I could see it was a solid opportunity. That was the main reason for moving forward 😀
I am interested in starting an online business, but not sure how I find suppliers in China. Can you advise what is the process for it?
Check out the videos and podcast that I’ve been doing 🙂
